Porto Suspended horizontal or vertical ceiling absorber

Porto is a suspended acoustic ceiling panel designed for demanding architectural projects, particularly in sports facilities, educational buildings, and public-access environments subject to repeated impact constraints.
Beyond its acoustic performance, Porto is CHOC‑certified in accordance with DIN 18032‑3 (class D2), guaranteeing its resistance to ball‑impact safety tests in sports environments.

This compliance allows acoustic treatment to be integrated into ceilings in gymnasiums and multisport halls without compromising safety requirements.

CHOC Certification : laboratory‑tested compliance

The Porto acoustic ceiling light has been tested by the independent laboratory LABOSPORT in accordance with DIN 18032‑3, applicable to ceiling elements likely to be impacted.

Tests performed :

  • 36 handball shots at 85 km/h
  • Specific tests for suspended elements (distance, angles and hangers compliant with the standard)

Results :

  • No structural deterioration
  • No alteration of suspension systems
  • Full preservation of functionality and safety

Porto is therefore a CHOC‑certified ceiling solution suitable for high‑intensity sports environments.

Resistance to humidity and chlorinated environments

Porto is also designed to maintain its performance in humid environments or in chlorinated atmospheres. To ensure durability, the acoustic ceiling light was tested by CSTB in accordance with NF EN 13964, which evaluates the resistance of suspended ceilings under extreme conditions.

Test results :

Class C: 62 days at 95% relative humidity at 30°C → no degradation observed

Class D: 64 days in chlorinated atmosphere (10 ppm) → no degradation observed

Suspension system also certified

The fixing elements (cables, suspension kits and angles) were also tested for 64 days in a chlorinated environment, with no apparent degradation.

Thanks to these performances, Porto is perfectly suited for demanding spaces such as :

  • swimming‑pool changing rooms
  • aquatic centres
  • spas
  • steam rooms
  • professional kitchens
  • other high‑humidity rooms

This resistance adds to its excellent acoustic performance and its CHOC certification, making Porto a reliable and durable solution for public buildings (ERP) and architectural projects subject to significant technical constraints.

Acoustic performance : effective correction of large volumes

With a performance of 0.95 alpha‑sabine, Porto helps to :

  • reduce reverberation time
  • improve speech intelligibility in large volumes
  • limit sound propagation
  • optimise acoustic comfort in rooms with high ceilings

The combination of high acoustic performance and impact resistance enables ceiling treatment in spaces where it is often excluded for safety reasons.

Eco‑responsibility & Arteck Commitments

Porto is part of an environmental approach aligned with the requirements of public and sports projects:

  • rPET acoustic fiber from recycled and recyclable material
  • durable solution designed to withstand intensive use
  • made in France
  • removable system facilitating maintenance, replacement, or reconfiguration

Porto combines certified acoustic performance, impact resistance, and environmental responsibility, offering a durable solution that meets current technical standards.
