Challenge

Mérieux NutriSciences has undertaken a major redevelopment of its premises to accommodate a larger number of employees, while preserving a pleasant and friendly working atmosphere.

The restructuring of the space involved a significant increase in the number of open-plan areas.

To guarantee the well-being of the teams and encourage concentration, mastering the acoustics proved to be of major importance. The natural, eco-responsible aspect was also an essential guiding principle for the project.

Solutions

Arteck Design designed a bespoke solution combining acoustic performance, style and respect for the environment. Three types of acoustic installations were included:

• Liego suspended sound absorbers in grey and green were installed in the open spaces and relaxation areas to absorb noise pollution while creating a warm, modern atmosphere.
• The Idaho acoustic panels in the shape of floor-standing rocks add an original, natural touch. Strategically placed, they help to structure spaces and optimise acoustic comfort at the same time.
• The Kyoto suspended panels with their palm pattern give the library a soothing and immersive atmosphere, ideal for concentration.

Made from 100% recycled and recyclable compact rPET fibre, these acoustic solutions are perfectly in line with the eco-design and upcycling approach sought by Mérieux NutriSciences.

Results

Thanks to this innovative approach, Mérieux NutriSciences’ new workspaces offer a modern, dynamic setting in which the acoustics are perfectly controlled.

Employees enjoy a friendly and inspiring environment, conducive to exchange and productivity, while benefiting from an effective reduction in noise pollution.

The inclusion of natural elements enhances the feeling of well-being, in perfect harmony with the ecological and sustainable vision of the project.
