Acoustic optimisation for an architectural signature
Challenge
As part of the refurbishment of a former barracks to create a modern, functional space, architects Arkedif were faced with a major challenge to ensure optimum acoustics over a vast area spread over three floors, while incorporating stylish elements which energise the traffic spaces and reflect the identity of the site.

Solutions
To meet these requirements, Arteck supplied more than 1,000 acoustic panels in several shades to ensure perfect acoustic optimisation and harmonious integration into the space. The solutions implemented include:
-
Plafo-Ultrasound: these acoustic panels, installed on the ceiling, provide effective sound absorption while blending in perfectly with the overall aesthetics of the spaces.
-
Chicago baffles: hung in the corridors, these red acoustic elements add a dynamic touch and act as imposing suspensions, lending a real architectural signature to the space.
These products demonstrate Arteck’s ability to offer high-performance acoustic solutions which satisfy technical constraints while enriching the visual identity of spaces.
Results
Thanks to the integration of these acoustic solutions, the Cobalt project now benefits from spaces with optimised sound qualities, offering increased acoustic comfort for occupants.
The Chicago baffles, with their distinctive red hue, energise the corridors and add a striking design touch, reinforcing the identity of the site and illustrating Arteck’s ability to combine acoustic performance and aesthetics.
