Bring substance and relief to traffic areas while meeting a technical challenge
Challenge
Interior architecture agency Rayon Carré, which was in charge of the interior design of the 5,000 m² commercial building in a new development, called on Arteck to design the acoustic equipment for the communal landings spread over three floors.
The constraint was that nothing must be attached to the ceiling, because too much technical equipment was installed there.
Solutions
Working with the installer CDL, Arteck proposed a custom-made wall-mounting system for its San Diego ceiling baffles. Thanks to metal angle brackets attached to the wall, the baffles could be installed without detracting from the aesthetics of the project and satisfying the technical constraints.
Results
- Warm, high-performance spaces which satisfy the technical challenges and aesthetic requirements
- Ceilings punctuated by our clay-coloured suspended vertical acoustic baffles, which contrast with the wooden arches marking the entrances to the units.
- Acoustic wall panels with graphic grooves (geo pattern) which respond to the arrangement of painted battens with geometric wood add-on modules.
