Point S head office
Customised acoustics which reflect the brand's image
Challenge
- Provide employees with a 350 m2 space which is both friendly and conducive to work, aesthetically consistent with Point S’s codes and “stress-free” in keeping with the brand’s image.
An entire floor has been refurbished, with open spaces, offices, meeting rooms, cubicles, coffee areas and a relaxation area which welcomes employees as they exit the lift. The acoustics posed a major challenge in this vast expanse, and the aesthetics were no less important.
- Rethinking the head office’s largest meeting room
The aim was to create acoustics that were as effective as they were personalised for the head office’s main and therefore strategic large meeting room.
On the agenda: vast space, numerous potential participants, confidentiality and brand image.
Solutions
- Liego waffles on the ceiling of the open spaces and relaxation area
- Kyoto suspended panels in the open spaces and offices
- Oslo partitions to separate offices
Meeting room
- 16 custom-made suspended sound absorbers cover the ceiling, installed symmetrically and at an angle for a dynamic effect.
- Integrated lighting: each suspended element incorporates a neon LED, combining acoustic comfort and light in a single module.
- Back wall clad with Macao panels made of grooved compact rPET, adding texture and depth with a dark blue hue, harmonised with the ceiling, curtains and coffee area.
Results
In the end, “no stress”, the acoustic solutions enabled the open spaces to be kept while maintaining sound comfort. Employees are immersed in the Point S world and enjoy a friendly, modern working environment.
The Liego waffle and the tropical jungle shapes of the Kyoto panels add a modern, designer touch, while the understated Oslo partitions blend into the surroundings.
The brand is explicitly featured through the logo applied to two of the custom-made suspended sound absorbers and the signature “Pas de stress il y a Point S” inlaid in the Macao panel at the back of the room.
Finally, a custom-made compact rPET wall cut-out provides the backdrop for a neon logo inlay in the upstairs entrance.
