Acoustic renovation of a 130 m² amphitheatre
Problematic
This space, designed to host conferences, meetings and events, needed to be completely rethought to meet today’s standards of acoustic comfort and performance.
The existing amphitheatre no longer met modern acoustic requirements. Reverberation issues affected speech intelligibility and user comfort.
As part of its future operation and rental by Nièvre Habitat, it was essential to provide optimal listening conditions suitable for a public venue.
Solution
Our San Diego acoustic panels were integrated into the project to ensure effective reduction of reverberation and significantly improve the acoustic comfort of the space.
Their design combines acoustic performance with contemporary aesthetics, in perfect harmony with the overall renovation of the amphitheatre.
Results
Thanks to this intervention, the amphitheatre now benefits from optimised room acoustics, offering excellent speech intelligibility and improved listening comfort.
The space now meets current uses and the operational requirements of Nièvre Habitat, both for internal needs and for the rental of the facility.
